'Risky Stag Dos Need Insurance' |
|
(3rd June 2008)
When attending a stag do, party goers should check their insurance policy in advance of travelling, according to activity organisers Designaventure.
Taking out insurance.com" title="" target="_parent">holiday insurance can cover celebrations abroad but attendees should be aware their policy may not cover all the planned activities - highlighting the importance of researching insurance.
Project manager of Designaventure Anna Makin Made explained: "Sometimes there's a little clause saying they don't cover for machine gun shooting, so they need to check with their insurance company that they are covered."
It has been revealed by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office that 70 per cent of young British people preferred hen and stag weekends in a different country in 2005, with nearly half of those asked saying they went without insurance.com/travel_insurance" title="" target="_parent">travel insurance.
However, 24 per cent of those travelling abroad to celebrate had experienced problems such as being arrested or losing their passport, where proper insurance.com" title="" target="_parent">holiday insurance could have reduced their expenses.
