'More Choice' For Ethical Investors |
|
(22nd May 2008)
Those interesting in ethical banking and investments are being offered "an incredible amount of choice", according to F&C Asset Management.
Head of group communications Jason Hollands has spoken about the range of products available for consumers who wish to invest their money in an ethical way.
Mr Hollands explained: "There is an incredible amount of choice, which is a good thing, but one of the dilemmas facing investors is how to understand the different options available out there and find the investment that is appropriate for them and their own requirements."
He added that, although some investors have religious criteria driving their banking needs, others may wish to put money into investments which offer good returns but have a positive "tinge" to them.
It was recently revealed by the Investment Management Association that the ethical fund currently under management had increased to £5.4 billion for the first quarter of this year, up from £1.4 billion in 1998.
